About this property

Welcome to Central Loop Hotel

Located at 111 W Adams St in the heart of Chicago's bustling Loop district, Central Loop Hotel offers a practical option for travelers seeking central access to key city sights. The hotel’s neighborhood is popular for attractions such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and the iconic Willis Tower, making it an attractive base for visitors interested in exploring cultural landmarks and downtown amenities.

The hotel occupies an older building featuring casual, air-conditioned rooms and suites equipped with kitchens in some units. While the décor and furnishings show signs of age, guest reviews often note the rooms as clean and beds as comfortable, offering good value for those intending to spend most of their time outside exploring the city. The presence of a classic pub and on-site restaurant provide convenient dining options, although some guests mention the limited menu and variable service quality at the pub.

Facilities include a fitness center, free Wi-Fi, business center, and room service, supporting both leisure and business travelers. Paid parking is available nearby, with a negotiated rate that is competitive for the area, though the hotel does not offer airport shuttle services. The property maintains a smoke-free policy and is accessible, but does not accommodate pets or feature a pool.

Guest feedback highlights the convenience of its location near Monroe Station on the Blue Line, simplifying transit to Chicago’s airports and other parts of the city. Some reviewers have commented on the building’s older features, like elevator issues and dated room elements, which may affect those seeking modern accommodations. However, the attentive staff and straightforward check-in process receive positive mention, reinforcing the hotel’s appeal as a cost-conscious, centrally located choice for solo travelers, couples, and small groups prioritizing location and price over luxury.

This is a great value option for staying centrally located. It was super convenient to walk and/or grab the public transit. Some of the details were a little old i.e. the TV in the room. Also, no fridge. But hey, we came to Chicago to explore the city so it worked great for us. The staff were also very accommodating with early check-in and letting us leave our bags at the front after check-out.

The hotel looked neat from the outside and appeared friendly and pleasant upon entering. The staff was also friendly. However, as soon as we entered the elevator, the display showed incorrect floors. The hallway seemed clean but was very old and not well maintained – the same goes for the room. The furniture was very old and worn out. The room didn’t really feel cozy, but to be fair: the mattresses and bedding were very comfortable to sleep in. A big plus: the hotel has a great location, and it's very easy to get everywhere quickly. If you plan to spend most of your time outside, then the room's ambiance doesn’t matter much. Good value for money.

I spent a weekend in Chicago and came across this affordable place. The Central Loop Hotel is conveniently located near the Monroe station on the Blue Line, making it easy to travel to and from O’Hare International Airport, as well as access many other public transportation options. The room and bathroom are on the smaller side, but the bathroom was well equipped, and the heater worked wonderfully—which was much appreciated during the cold weather. The only downsides were that the elevators were very slow (it felt like ages waiting to get to my room), and the vents were quite dusty. Overall, it’s a great option for a solo stay, but I’d recommend booking a larger room if you’re traveling with more than one person.

Location is incredible. Room and bathroom were basic but clean, check-in was easy. Downside was my room's window was frosted over so it had no view, which didn't match the airbnb description, and the mattress seemed old, folding in the middle and with a spring sticking from the side that literally drew blood. Of the two elevators, only one was working, causing long waits. If you tried the stairs, they took you to an office building adjacent to the hotel. I also didn't like their response to a review below where a woman had staff enter her room at night, and she was blamed for not using her door's deadbolt. Good hotel for the price.

Easy check in process. Great rooms for solo traveler here for a night for work. Great price. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Late check out. Had an amazing package delivered because I forgot my electric toothbrush and front desk was very helpful. And free water bottles? Never heard of that before. Love it. Will be my new go to hotel for when I’m in Chicago.

Amazing value, location, and staff. Rooms are a bit small, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time in them or have kids, but more than adequate for a singleton, or a couple using thr hotel as a base of operations. (The lounge on the lower level is also very nice if you want to get out of your room and don't have anywhere else to go.) The building is an older one and that shows in some of the details, but nothing is actually bad quality, and the price point more than justifies not doing extensive renovations of things that work fine. The restaurant is an Elephant & Castle attached to the lobby, which has surprisingly reasonable prices for a hotel restaurant in that part of town, although the menu is limited to pub fare and the service in the E&C is very hit-or-miss. Service in the hotel itself is great, though. From Adrian and Chris at the front desk to everyone else, staff bent over backwards to be helpful. (While they don't have onsite parking, the garage they use is just over a block away, and their negotiated rate of $25/day is absurdly good for the area, and can save you hundreds over and above the good room rates.)
